Since they had little budget for advertising, Synthetic Genetics hired KIWI Communications to develop a public relations campaign on some of its newest technologies. Scientific articles were also developed and placed in various trade journals. In addition, postcards were designed and mailed to a targeted customer database announcing its latest technology and services.
